A Victorian antique Bonheur Du Jour or ladies writing desk C.1860
The top piece has pierced brass galleries. it is made from Amboyna and Thuya wood - both rare timbers. It is decorated throughout with sevres porcelain panels which are hand painted and depict Marie Antoinette and Amie Elisabeth with the smaller plaques being cherubs, floral scenes and orolu mounts.
